Truffle hunting in the Sirente-Velino Regional Park

There is a precious secret in the underground of the Abruzzo mountains: TRUFFLES!
In June and July you can find different types of truffles near to the mountain village Fontecchio (Province of L'Aquila). Early in the morning we'll go for the search of truffles together with a local farmer and his dogs. After that we'll have breakfast together and in a little course you'll learn something about truffles. In the afternoon you'll have time to relax or you can go for a trip in the mountains (optional) or visit the village of Fontecchio. In the evening we'll eat a truffle-meal in a local restaurant.


Details:
you can choose to arrive in the evening before or early in the morning (journey not included but for an additional fee we can pick you up at the airport)
early in the morning (about 7 am) search for truffles
we'll return at about 10 or 11 am, breakfast/brunch and truffles-course
time to relax
at 7 pm dinner in the restaurant "Del Rio", typical dishes with truffles

If you want we can reserve a Bed&Breakfast or mini-apartment at the price of 35€/person/night in a double room.

The growth of the truffles depends on strict weather and seasonal conditions, we can't gaurantee the success!

Please don't forget good shoes (for trekking) and raincoat/jacket for the truffle search!
