Donkey Hiking

In the past there were lots of donkeys in Abruzzo, because the people used to use them for their work. Today the donkeys have almost disappeared, because of the tractors and the other machines that help the farmers. We want to awaken the old traditions of using donkeys.
The donkey is a very gentle animal: it will be the perfect companion for your walk in the amazing scenery of Abruzzo.

It's a new pleasure of hiking: you walk without hurry and the donkey will carry your gear. If you have kids and they are tired they can ride on the donkey for a little while - and the kids will love the donkey!

Take at least 3 days for your donkey-hiking-trip: On the first day we'll explain everything to you and you can try a little walk around the village - but it's not difficult.
After that you can leave for your trip - we can plan the trip indvidually like you prefer it: you can return in the evening to Fontecchio or you can go for 2 or 3 days with the donkey and sleep on a farm, in a lonesome cottage in the mountains or also in a tent. If there are no shops around we'll prepare you a lunch-bag.

Just let us know about your wishes and we can organize a trip for you.

Feel free to ask for dates and prices (depending on number of partecipants, period and length of your trip).
